Kikorongo Safari Lodge

Its incredible location: Sitting perfectly on the equator on one of the steep hills in Kasese, it's the perfect base for exploration. The lodge overlooks both Lake George and Lake Edward, is surrounded by Rwenzori National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and the famous Kazinga Channel. 

The Views: Comprised of 15 unique cottages spread out over 15 hectares of steep landscape, Each lodge is built with a view of the lakes and impressive landscape in mind. 

Family Run: The Thembo family first camp to the rolling escarpment of Kikorongo in April of 2018, and it was then that they had the idea of building this lodge as a gem of luxury in the heart of the wilderness.

The lodge is situated about 38km east of Mpondwe, a town that sits at the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the southern part of Uganda.

Sitting directly on the equator, the lodge was strategically built on a steep hill in Kasese so that it overlooks major safari sites of interest -  both Lake Edward and Lake George, Queen Elizabeth and Rwenzori National Park, and the Kazinga Channel.

Kikorongo Safari Lodge is comprised of fifteen uniquely designed cottages that are built over 15 hectares of the steep landscape. Each lodge has a custom view of the lakes and immense surrounding horizon. The design of the cottages provides privacy due to the natural untouched bush that they are nestled within.

There are three accommodation options at Kikorongo Safari Lodge: 

• Tented Luxury Cottages- fitted with a cosy four-poster bed and a spacious en-suite bathroom as well as a large private deck with stunning views. 
• Edge Luxury Intimate Cottages - situated at the edge of the premises, the rooms are self-contained and boast a full view of both Lake Kikorongo and Lake George. Fitted with a cosy four-poster bed and a spacious en-suite bathroom, and a large private deck with stunning views. 
• Rift Valley Tent Camp Area - set at the bottom of the lodge between two escarpments with a breathtaking view.  They come with a cosy four-poster bed, a spacious shared bathroom, and a large private campfire area for relaxing in the evening.
