Itinerary

Day 1-3: Entebbe
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Note: We have a dedicated flight partner who can help find and book the best international flights for you.
On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation to settle in after your flight.
Overnight: Karibu Entebbe (2 nights)
Day 2: Mabamba Swamp & Shoebills
Today you will get to experience a canoe ride at Mabamba Swamp. Mabamba Swamp is 50km west of Kampala, one of the best places to spot the rare Shoebill Stork. The best way to enjoy the rich birdlife is by canoe trip out onto the swamp, and you will be accompanied by your guide to help you identify the various species. Your afternoon will be at leisure.
Day 3-6: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airport and board a light aircraft flight to Kisoro Airstrip, the gateway to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You'll be met on arrival and transferred to your lodge, spending the afternoon at leisure.
Overnight: Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (3 nights)
Day 4: Gorilla Trek!
Gorilla trek! Today you start early with a short briefing at the park HQ where you meet your guides and trackers. You'll then set off, deep into the forest in search of your allocated gorilla family. You spend 1 magical hour with them before returning to your lodge.
Day 5: Lake Mutanda
Today you will have a 2-hour canoe experience on Lake Mutanda, returning to your lodge for lunch and an afternoon at leisure.
Day 6-8: Volcanoes National Park
This morning you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park via the Cyanika border post with Uganda and Rwanda. After clearing customs you will continue to Rwanda with lunch en route. The drive can take approximately 4 hours including the one hour stop at the border. Arrive at your accommodation and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight: Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (2 nights)
Day 7: Gorilla Trek!
Today you will experience your second Gorilla Trekking. After an early breakfast you will be transferred to the HQ for a briefing before being allocated a gorilla family. Once you locate them you spend an amazing hour observing them before heading back to your accommodation for lunch and an afternoon at leisure.
Day 8-10: Akagera National Park
This morning after breakfast you will depart for Akagera National Park (approximately 5 hrs) with lunch en route in Kigali. On arrival in Akagera National Park, you will game drive to your lodge where you will have time to freshen up before dinner, after which, a night game drive will follow.
Overnight: Ruzizi Tented Lodge (2 nights)
Day 8-9: Akagera National Park
Today you will enjoy a game drive and boat trip within this incredible National Park, offering spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities.
Day 10: Return Home
After breakfast, you will check out and transfer back to Kigali. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight (own flight arrangements). We hope you will be leaving with some incredible memories and photos of your time here.
