Around us, life continues as it does every day in this remote paradise. The waterfalls that tumble into the valley call out as they hit the rock pools below them. Birds sit overhead, chittering to one another. The trees bend with every breeze, leaves rustling.

Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, clear Immigration, collect your luggage and exit the airport to meet your driver for the transfer to your nearby guest house to spend the night.

Overnight: Karibu Guest House


Day 2: Sipi Falls

Depart for Sipi Falls with your guide XXX, taking a detour for some lunch at the source of the Nile in Jinja. In the late afternoon you’ll reach Sipi River Lodge where you will stay for the next three nights in a Cottage over-looking the falls. If you like this evening we can recommend watching the sunset from the “crow’s nest”.

Day 3: Sipi Falls

Take your time this morning and when you are ready one of the lodge guide’s will take you on a tour of the lodge’s coffee plantation. You’ll see the entire process from planting the coffee tree’s right up to roasting and grinding your own fresh coffee.

Day 4: Sipi Falls

This morning one of the guides from the lodge will take you on a guided walk around the 3 waterfalls of Sipi. This can take around 4-5 hours, but you can cut it short if you wish.

Day 5: Kara-Tunga

Depart towards the Karamajong region for the town of Moroto, passing briefly en-route through the Pain Upe game reserve. The drive should be around 3-4 hours, however can take some time depending on the road conditions. Once you have reached Moroto you can settle into Kara-Tunga Camp in a safari tent, your home for the next 3 nights.

Day 6: Kara-Tunga

The Kara-Tunga facility offers a very wide range of authentic cultural tours and visits as well as a number of hikes in the nearby mountain ranges.

Day 7: Kara-Tunga

Second full day exploring out from Kara-tunga.

Day 8: Kidepo National Park

Today you’ll drive through the remote and starkly beautiful plains of Northern Uganda, passing only a few small villages en-route to Kidepo Valley National Park. Road conditions vary but this should take 5-6 hours. Check into your lodge for the next three nights.

Day 9: Kidepo National Park

You have full days on safari within which you can do as little or as much as you please. You can also discuss with your guide about going a little deeper into the park for a community visit or to visit the hot-springs.

Day 10: Kidepo National Park

Second day of game drives and guided walks in Kidepo National Park.

Day 11: Entebbe

Today you will be driven to the park Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. This is scheduled for 9:10am – but times do vary so your guide will let you know the night before. On landing back in Entebbe we will meet you at the airport and bring you back to Karibu Entebbe where you will spend your last night in Uganda. If you wish we can arrange a sunset cruise for you on Lake Victoria.

Day 12: Return Home

Transfer to the airport for your internal flight home.

  • All Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) permits are included at the documented UWA rate and are not subject to a mark up.
